The idea of sin is not what I have in view when I say that we are evil. To talk in that way would be a serious theological error, for sin has been taken away by the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. We have not become good, but before God all the sin of the world has been carried by Jesus Christ, and consequently, although we are still wicked, we are no longer sinners eschatologically before God.
