It contains the following preamble: “Si ęcclesias Dei, quę in locis, ubi antiquitus constructę sunt, a noviter nostris temporibus construuntur, apostolica et canonica auctoritate, quod nostri officii est, privilegii nostri donatione exaltamus et confirmamus, id procul dubio nobis spiritualiter et carnaliter profuturum esse credimus” (548) (“If God’s Churches are now in our own time rebuilt in places where they had been constructed in antiquity, we exalt and confirm them by the donation of our privilege by means of the canonical and apostolic authority that is vested in our office, we believe that this will without doubt be to our spiritual and corporal benefit”).
