Stalk is thin, often with a bulbous base, and covered with thin dark hairs below. Gills descend the stalk and are widely spaced and pale brownishyellow. Spore print is pale yellow-brown.

It is convex, becoming flat to depressed in the center with age. Gills are white and free or slightly attached. Stalk is tapered, white, with a membranous, pendant collar. One or more concentric ridges form just above the basal bulb. Spore print is white.
